HOW TO DETERMINE WHETHER AN IMPERFECTION CAN BE TREATED WITH SUPREME?

Although Supreme is very versatile and can solve many many imperfections, the specialist performing the treatment will
provide a preventive check-up and choose the best protocol to treat of the blemish in question.

HOW DOES SUPREME REMOVE UNWANTED HAIR?
Depending on the area to be treated, the characteristics of the hair and skin colour, the specialist will determine the most suitable treatment protocol. The light emitted by the handpiece, pulsed light or laser is absorbed by the melanin in the hair and converted into heat. The heat cauterises the hair follicle, causing hair growth to stop without damaging the surrounding tissues
WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS?
Side effects are very rare. Sometimes the area treated may experience slight redness and swelling, but will disappear within a few hours. The risk of complications can be reduced by avoiding exposure to the sun one week before and one week after treatment. All normal activities can be resumed immediately after the treatment.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE TREATMENT?
If too long, the hairs to be treated will be shortened with an electric razor. The area to be treated will be cleansed and a thin layer of protective gel is applied. The treatment is performed and the gel and residual hair is removed. In about 2 weeks after the treatment a percentage of the treated hair will fall out.
WHY PREFER SUPREME TO OTHER METHODS OF EPILATION?
The most common method of hair removal is definitely waxing, which has a very traumatic effect on the skin. The firm tearing with hot resins in fact removes hair at the root but also alters the the chemical and bacteriological balance of the skin and therefore increases the risk of infection and the development of folliculitis. Folliculitis involves the presence of ingrown hairs, accumulations of sebum in the affected area (small pimples), pustules, spots itching and in rare cases pain; if it becomes deep it can leave scars.
